THURSTON JENKINS/PROFESSOR O'IGNANCE - The Toothless One Speaketh

The drama continues…when we last left our heroes, Thurston and the Prof were happily making "Fake Power Electronics" or "Humorous Power Electronics," or whatever you want to call it, extolling the virtues of Yasmine Bleeth and Water Joe Caffeinated Water over synth noise. They did enough albums to warrant (in their own minds) a boxset, and the hits came on coming. Then, one day, Thurston got he a lady friend, and she wanted to play too. A fine idea, but there’s something about the Prof’s performances here…he seems a bit agitated. Not in his usual "Fart in a mic and roll on the floor" agitated, either. All of a sudden, his best friend has a new best friend…and she’s a girl. EWWW! COOTIES!!

During "Smell & Quim Sniffing Glue," Professor O’Ignance sings a long song about how Messr. Jenkins received…manly pleasures from his new gal pal the other day. Not happy to simply out his friends, he adds, several times, "Why won’t MY girlfriend give ME a blow job?" That’s the tone of "Toothless One." Something’s different at the homestead, but tension is optimal for creating effective Power Electronics. I wonder if Phillip Best ever farted on Big Willie Bennett’s mic before passing it back to him, just because he knew it’d get him into a dither? There’s a lot of farting (and several runs through of "The Thong Song." Oooh, remember that one? Really dates this recording, eh?) here, but that’s business (or is that "bidness"?) as usual. It’s the "three where once was two" tension that I really get off on. And yes, you know that I do mean "get off." An album that may never happen again in the TJ/P’OI history.
